Here's a five-day plan built for two.

Day 1 — Arrive & Diamond Head Sunset
Check into your hotel in Waikiki. Walk the beach at golden hour. Climb Diamond Head Crater at sunset — the 45-minute trail leads to panoramic views over Honolulu and the Pacific.
Dinner: Nobu Waikiki for modern Japanese cuisine with an ocean view.

Day 2 — Turtle Canyon & Sunset Sail
Morning: Snorkel with Hawaiian Sea Turtles Book a boat tour to Turtle Canyon — a reef off Waikiki where Hawaiian green sea turtles are almost always present. Swim alongside them in clear turquoise water.
Afternoon: Waikiki Beach at Ease Sip something cold. Float in warm water. That's it. Let Waikiki do what it does.
Evening: Sunset Catamaran Sail Board a catamaran off Waikiki for a 2-hour sunset sail. Diamond Head silhouette. Pink and gold sky. Champagne.

Day 3 — North Shore Road Trip
The North Shore of Oahu is everything Waikiki is not — uncrowded, wild, and deeply local. Drive up the windward coast.

- Lanikai Beach (the most beautiful stretch of sand on Oahu)
- Kailua Town for breakfast at Cinnamon's
- Waimea Bay (where 40-foot waves break in winter)
- Laniākea Beach to watch sea turtles resting on shore
- Matsumoto Shave Ice in Haleiwa

Day 4 — Hidden Oahu
Morning: Manoa Falls Trail A lush 1.6-mile trail through tropical rainforest to a 150-foot waterfall. Often misty, always green, always beautiful.
Afternoon: Chinatown Exploration Honolulu's Chinatown has some of the city's best restaurants and most vibrant street art. Walk through the farmers market and stop for dim sum.
Evening: Dinner at MW Restaurant or Stage The best fine dining in Honolulu. Local ingredients, Hawaiian inspiration, James Beard attention.

Day 5 — Hanauma Bay & Goodbye
Morning: Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve One of the world's great snorkeling spots — a protected bay inside an ancient volcanic crater. Book your timed entry online the day before.
